Health Information Privacy and Security Week is sponsored by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).  This year's theme is "Keeping It Personal -- Health Information You Can Trust."  The week is designed to raise awareness among the public about the importance of personal health information privacy and security.

As UCMC employees and consumers of health care services, it is imperative that we all understand the importance of keeping personal health information confidential and secure.  You are encouraged to explore the HIPAA Program Office website to learn more about how you can keep our patients' information private and by doing so earn and maintain their trust.
