HIPAA Quick Reference Guide For Employees

This guide is intended for the use of the employees of the University of Chicago Medical Center (UCMC), the University of Chicago Biological Sciences Division (BSD) and the Regional Doctors Offices (RDO).  These organizations are referred to as "we" or "us" or "our" throughout the questions.  The locations are referred to as "the Medical Center."  If you are not sure if this document applies to you, please contact the HIPAA Program Office at 4-9716.

The University of Chicago Organized Health Care Agreement or "OHCA," includes physicians, nurses, residents, and other staff at the University of Chicago Medical Center, and doctors offices at these locations:
